Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Belarus Latif Gandilov.
The parties discussed topical issues of trade and economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister noted the positive dynamics of the growth of mutual trade between the two countries. Following the results of nine months of this year, the trade turnover between Belarus and Azerbaijan increased more than 2.5 times and amounted to about US $ 315 million.
“Cooperation in the field of industrial cooperation is also developing productively. One of the leading Azerbaijani enterprises, which successfully works in cooperation with Belarusian machine builders, is the Ganja Automobile Plant. Since 2007, more than 11 thousand Belarusian tractors have been assembled on its basis, as well as about 3.5 thousand units of other equipment of famous Belarusian brands, ”Roman Golovchenko stressed.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in intensifying and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
