The Ministry of Interior (MOI), represented by the General Directorate of Industrial Security, has received the international accreditation certificate ISO 28000 for quality in supply chain for industrial security.
Director-General of Industrial Security, Lieutenant-Colonel Khalifa Mohammad Al Attiyah, stated that the certificate is regarded as an international accreditation for the level of security services carried out by the Directorate in securing oil and gas production sources in the country. He added that obtaining the ISO 28000 certificate is an important step in the path of developing the Directorate in order to upgrade the level of securing oil facilities, in a manner that achieves and bolsters security success within the framework of the role assigned to it.
In a press statement, after receiving the certificate from Ms. Jinoos Shariati, First Secretary at the British Embassy in Doha and Director of the Trade and Investment, Lieutenant-Colonel Al Attiyah pointed out to the stages of the process of obtaining ISO certificate. These stages start from the study and evaluation phase, followed by the implementation process' preparation, the quality system's documentation, the documented system's application, and the system's internal audit, ending with the phase of external audit and obtaining ISO certificate.
